thinkFolio is a leading provider of cross-asset portfolio modelling and management tools, compliance and trading functions for asset managers on the buy side



Position summary


thinkFolio require a hands-on Quality Assurance Test Analyst with a strong track record of maintaining best practice in a fast-moving industry. The candidate will be joining a team of experienced QA analysts working on exciting new deliveries as well as maintaining existing software. The role will require knowledge of buy side trading workflows and an understanding of different asset classes, with a testing background in the financial services. There will be scope to learn afresh, or expand upon an existing skillset, in automation, specifically writing tests in a cucumber format for applicable features.


thinkFolio is engaged with multiple projects to better on-board new clients, support new complex business workflows and a multi-year expansion program to expand the core capabilities of the platform and more generally help build out our best of breed platform to support this growing business. The QA Analyst will work as part of scrum teams to test new and existing features on the platform, working closely with engineers and product stakeholders, as well as fellow team members.



Duties & accountabilities


Work with product owners, engineers and senior stakeholders to define the test scope required for projects and user stories


Assisting with maintaining and executing regression test packs


Ability to prioritize tasks against team objectives and business needs


Involvement in test planning and preparation


A questioning mentality with great attention to detail and energized by finding defects


Communicating risks, blockers, delays or deviations that impede test execution


Defects reported and communicated in a timely manner, managing high priority issues through to resolution


Provide reliable estimates for all testing tasks and managing time effectively


Build up knowledge and understanding of the current application and business domain


Working in Agile focused delivery teams


Writing high quality reusable test cases


Work well in a team environment


Drive innovation and adaption of best practices

Education and experience


ISEB certified tester


8+ years of Quality Assurance experience


Strong understanding of different asset classes, trading workflows and the trade lifecycle


Experience working in an agile environment


thinkFolio product experience or equivalent for PMS or OMS functions


Ability to deliver high quality test cases in a dynamic, fast-paced environment


Understanding of BDD and Cucumber (nice to have)



Commercial awareness


Preference for exposure to multi-asset OMS / PMS platforms
