What we're looking for:

A QA Engineer with experience writing automated tests for web applications and working in agile cross-functional squads.



You'll be joining one of our more backend-focused squads and working alongside several QA engineers to increase the squad's quality standards, testing and monitoring practices.



What you'll do:

The role will primarily involve: creating automated acceptance tests using Javascript, Cucumber & Cypress in addition to coordinating with the developers to produce effective quality control mechanisms for our teams. We are looking for a knowledgeable team player able to take on a variety of test activities in our I.T. team whilst promoting shift left testing in agile and BDD best practices. Our ideal QA engineer will have a strong understanding of Javascript and Cypress.



Coordinate with your delivery squad to engage in BDD practices.


Produce automated acceptance tests for web applications using Javascript and Cypress.


Engage in exploratory testing of web and mobile applications.


Identify and manage defects in applications developed in the squad.


Collect quality data and monitor team quality metrics.


Contribute to the quality management strategy for the company


Contribute towards Non-functional testing activities


Requirements



It's the ideal role if you have:

Experience writing automated acceptance tests using Javascript and Cypress for web applications.


Experience with AWS and

Experience with SSO (SAML/OAuth)


Understanding of testing & experience working in an Agile environment.


Knowledge and experience of BDD and ability to promote them throughout the company.


Knowledge and experience in web applications, mobile applications and test approaches.


Experience with Non-functional testing (Accessibility, Performance and Security Testing) activities


Knowledge with Automated Visual Regression Testing



It’s a plus if you have:

A degree - preferably in a computing-related subject


Experience in a startup environment


Postman, Typescript, MYSQL, NOSQL, Python, Experienced working as Software Engineer


ISTQB qualification preferred

The range available for this role is from £45,000 - £52,000
