Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are an independent eco-friendly, zero-waste store in the heart of Brighton, offering plant-based everyday products without plastic packaging.

Job Type: part or full time

Pay: £10.50/Hour

Rewards & Benefits:

• 10% staff discount during the first three months; following a successful probation period, employees are entitled to a 15%discount. After one year of service, this increases to 20%.
• Paid holiday - holiday entitlement is 20 days per year, plus 8 bank holidays. Restrictions apply; part-time pro rata.

• Company sick pay - employees are entitled to Statutory Sick Pay following a successful probation period.

Key Duties:

• Opening the store at the beginning and closing at the end of the operating hours.
• Engaging in appropriate behaviour at all times, representing the business in a positive light.
• Following systems and procedures, including customer service standards and safety regulations.
• Develop your knowledge of the store's products and make recommendations to customers.
• Cleaning and maintaining the store
• Stocking shelves, filling up dispensers when a product is running out
• Creating displays
• some lifting may be required

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Some knowledge of social media
• good eye for displays and social media content
• Experience in sales and EPOS systems
• a cheerful attitude and happy to talk to customers in an approachable manner
• Good communication skills, as well as being conscientious and motivated

Requirements:

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
