Role: Accounts Assistant – German Speaker

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA

Hours: Full-Time / Permanent

Salary: £24,000 & Bonus Scheme

What will my role look like?

Our Transactional Shared Services Team is expanding and we have a finance career opportunity available for a German Speaking Accounts Assistant! In this role you will be part of the Accounts Payable Team and you responsible for efficiently & accurately processing invoices and handling finance queries.

Although some finance experience is desired, it is not essential, we will provide you with full-training & development in order for you to succeed in your role. You will also have the opportunity to become AAT qualified via our study support package, this is a perfect opportunity for a dedicated individual who enjoys working with numbers.

What would my main responsibilities be?

Invoice Entry

Posting invoices & credit notes per business requests and ensuring they are coded correctly in our accounting system

Reconciliation, Payments and Controls (RPC)

Pre-disbursement controls

Direct Debit monitoring

Balance sheet account reconciliation

Preparation of monthly supplier statement reconciliations

Monitoring of month end activities for accounts payable

Vendor master database maintenance

Pro-active management of supplier accounts and monitoring of ageing

Communicating and liaising with suppliers to resolve any invoicing, payment or other queries

Monitoring the email inbox / ticketing system

Support to clients, vendors

Communicating and liaising with suppliers to resolve any invoicing, payment or other queries

Cooperation with other departments

Liaising with the broader finance team and Team Leader to provide regular updated on daily/weekly and Monthly activities
